One of my all time favorite is American artist, Norman Rockwell. Even though he was just considered a illustrator, I find that his art came from a deep part of him. His ability to capture expression is astounding to me. His work has the ability to make me laugh, smile, cry and feel. He is truly an amazing artist in my book.
This first piece just makes me laugh.

The very first picture is the one that made me fall in love with Norman Rockwell's work. Back in the fourth grade, my teacher had Rockwell prints all around the classroom. I drew that picture in chalk, and was so proud of it my mom kept it. Just a couple weeks ago I found it... a whole lot worse for the wear, but just like I remember it. He was truly an American original.
