30 Days of Prayer 2011~ Day 19

For the next 30 days I am going to spend "30 Days in Prayer". I want to focus the next month on prayer. I am going to follow the simple pattern Jesus gave us, the Lords Prayer. Join me as I sharpen my prayer life and let this time encourage and strengthen your walk with the Lord.

What God's Word says about Prayer:

Lamentations 3:41 (New King James Version)

Let us lift our hearts and hands

To God in heaven.


Prayer Guide:
I am using the "Lord's Prayer" as a guide. (Matthew 6:9-13)



1. Praise God for Who He is! (vs. 9)

Today, I am going to focus on: He is Beautiful!

Psalm 27:4 (New King James Version)
4One thing I have desired of the LORD,

That will I seek:

That I may dwell in the house of the LORD

All the days of my life,

To behold the beauty of the LORD,

And to inquire in His temple.




2. Pray for His Will to be done!

Today, I am going to focus on: His will amongest the nations rulers.


3. Pray for Him to meet our needs! (vs. 11)

Today, I am going to focus on:

  • Family

  • My children

  • Speed the Light

  • Salvation for family & friends

  • Missionaries


4. Pray for forgiveness and that I would forgive others. (vs. 12)

"I can forgive, but I cannot forget," is only another way of saying, "I cannot forgive." -Beecher

OUCH!


5. Pray for Help against Temptation! (vs. 13)

Put On my Armor!

Today, I am going to focus on: Thanking Him because He

  • Protection

  • Salvation for family

  • Missionaries would have amazing victories


4. Pray for forgiveness and that I would forgive others. (vs. 12)

"to forgive is to not let someone rent free space in your head"


5. Pray for Help against Temptation! (vs. 13)

I desire you more than anything on earth. 26 My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.
27 Those who desert him will perish, for you destroy those who abandon you. 28 But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.

  • Friends who have lost loved ones
  • Salvation for family
  • Our Missionaries that are here at the conference


4. Pray for forgiveness and that I would forgive others. (vs. 12)

5. Pray for Help against Temptation! (vs. 13)

What God's Word says about Prayer:
Matthew 6:6 (New International Version, ©2010)
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Today, I am going to focus on: He is Love!

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.




2. Pray for His Will to be done! (vs.10)

Today, I am going to focus on: His will in the next couple of days here at Conference on the Ministry.


3. Pray for Him to meet our needs! (vs. 11)

Today, I am going to focus on:


  • I would feel His Love!
  • My children would feel God's love!
  • John would feel God's love!
  • Our church board
  • Salvation for family
  • Missionaries and fellow Christians in Iran who have been arrested.


4. Pray for forgiveness and that I would forgive others. (vs. 12)

One of the greatest stories of forgiveness...Joseph forgiving his brothers.

Genesis 50:16-21 (New Living Translation)
16 So they sent this message to Joseph: “Before your father died, he instructed us 17 to say to you: ‘Please forgive your brothers for the great wrong they did to you—for their sin in treating you so cruelly.’ So we, the servants of the God of your father, beg you to forgive our sin.” When Joseph received the message, he broke down and wept. 18 Then his brothers came and threw themselves down before Joseph. “Look, we are your slaves!” they said.
19 But Joseph replied, “Don’t be afraid of me. Am I God, that I can punish you? 20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. 21 No, don’t be afraid. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

Today, I am going to focus on: His will in our Plans, that they would be His Plans!


3. Pray for Him to meet our needs! (vs. 11)

Today, I am going to focus on:


  • My children would be amazed by God!
  • John would be find rest!
  • My Pastor wife
  • Salvation for family
  • Missionaries and fellow Christians in Iran who have been arrested.


4. Pray for forgiveness and that I would forgive others. (vs. 12)

As Christ forgave me so I must forgive others!

13 For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, 14 who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.


5. Pray for Help against Temptation! (vs. 13)

Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.

I will bring them to my holy mountain of Jerusalem and will fill them with joy in my house of prayer. I will accept their burnt offerings and sacrifices, because my Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations.

30 Days of Prayer 2011~ Day 6

For the next 30 days I am going to spend "30 Days in Prayer". I want to focus the next month on prayer. I am going to follow the simple pattern Jesus gave us, the Lords Prayer. Join me as I sharpen my prayer life and let this time encourage and strengthen your walk with the Lord.

What God's Word says about Prayer: (Oh that I would be found righteous)

Proverbs 15:29 (New Living Translation)
The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayers of the righteous.


Prayer Guide:
I am using the "Lord's Prayer" as a guide. (Matthew 6:9-13)



1. Praise God for Who He is! (vs. 9)

Today, I am going to focus on: He is Good!

Only God is truly good!



2. Pray for His Will to be done! (vs.10)

Today, I am going to focus on: His will in the lives of our Missionaries and Brothers and Sisters in Christ who are being persecuted for the cause of Christ!


3. Pray for Him to meet our needs! (vs. 11)

Today, I am going to focus on:


  • My children would know that all that they have is because of God's goodness
  • John would be amazed by the goodness of God
  • Missionaries our church supports
  • Salvation for family
  • Missionaries and fellow Christians in Iran who have been arrested.


4. Pray for forgiveness and that I would forgive others. (vs. 12)

What God's Word says about Prayer: (Lord, I want my prayer to be a sweet aroma, an act of worship)

  • My children would be protected by the strong arm of Jesus
  • John be strengthened by the power of Jesus
  • Womens Ministry in our church
  • Salvation for family
  • Missionaries finances


4. Pray for forgiveness and that I would forgive others. (vs. 12)

I love, love, love this verse!

Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.


5. Pray for Help against Temptation! (vs. 13)

Today, I am going to focus on "Putting on the Armor of God" Gal. 6 again!


Put on your Armor, it is you first line of defense and don't for get your offensive Weapon "The Sword of the Spirit" which is the Word of God!

What God's Word says about Prayer: (We serve a God who listens to us and answers our prayers)

But God did listen!
He paid attention to my prayer.


Prayer Guide:

1. Praise God for Who He is! (vs. 9)

Today, I am going to focus on: He is Holy!

Exalt the Lord our God!

Bow low before his feet, for he is holy!





2. Pray for His Will to be done! (vs.10)

Today, I am going to focus on: His will in my parents and sister.


3. Pray for Him to meet our needs! (vs. 11)

Today, I am going to focus on:


  • Sister's needs
  • My Mom, that God will give her understanding.
  • My kids will know Christ.
  • Salvation for friends
  • Missionaries needs


4. Pray for forgiveness and that I would forgive others. (vs. 12)

I am amazed of God ability to forgive us; who am I to not give forgiveness in return. I love this verse.....

O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,

so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.


5. Pray for Help against Temptation! (vs. 13)

Today, I am going to focus on "Putting on the Armor of God" Gal. 6 again!


It is like getting ready for the day. Not to many people walk out of there house in the morning and go to work with thier pj's on, hair a mess, sour breath and no food in thier belly. That would be silly and you would not have a job for long. Just as we take care in getting ready for the day physically we need to get ready for the day spiritually...Put on your Armor!

16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

1. Praise God for Who He is! (vs. 9)

Today, I am going to focus on: He is our Beautiful Creator!

Isaiah 40:28 (New Living Translation)

Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding.




2. Pray for His Will to be done! (vs.10)

Today, I am going to focus on: His will in my family.


3. Pray for Him to meet our needs! (vs. 11)

Today, I am going to focus on:


  • John, that God will give him wisdom.
  • My Dad, that God will give him strength.
  • Protection & good health for my children.


4. Pray for forgiveness and that I would forgive others. (vs. 12)

I am going to leave this part private. ; ) But I want to encourage all of us to allow God to search and clean out any unforgiveness and things that we try to keep from Him. I love this verse.....

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.


5. Pray for Help against Temptation! (vs. 13)

Today, I am going to focus on "Putting on the Armor of God" Gal. 6 again!
I think that during this time I am going to do this every day. As I was praying and imagining putting on the armor...it was so powerful that I think I will pray for this everyday. Clearly God has given us the tools to help us defeat temptation and protect us from evil. We just have to put them on and use them.....very cool! ( I have blogged about this before during my GEPC study, check it out)

There are always two parts of a conversation....talking and listening. I have done enough talking and now it is time for me to listen to what God wants to say to me.
